Information
The Series 555 Softseal Valve is a double-faced, resilient seat, internal screw, clear bore wedge gate valve. It is designed primarily for the isolation of natural gas and manufactured gas. Series 555 valves incorporate the Donkin metallic wedge gate for optimal gas isolation performance when closed, with the added security of secondary metal to metal seals in addition to the primary O-ring seals on both wedge faces. The wedge far exceeds the strength requirements of the European Pressure Equipment Directive.
This 555/411 variant is configured with narrower face to face dimension (DIN 3202, F4) and is lighter in weight to enable easier incorporation into gas Above Ground Installations.
